This is my new design, bespoke software development and hosting company. I’ve already done a couple of websites and my company has just been hired by Aispire Consulting Ltd. to do some bespoke software development for them.
MouthOS
I’ve always had an interest in operating systems and have recently revived an old project of mine known as MikeOS. It is basically a 32bit operating system written in x86 assembly and C that runs of a floppy disk.
Those who are keen will have notices that I have titled this - ‘MouthOS’, yet I refer to an older project - ‘MikeOS’. The reason for the name change is twofold:
- There is already a project called ‘MikeOS’ which is a 16bit operating system designed to teach people how to write operating systems. More information on this project can be found at http://mikeos.berlios.de/
- I have acquired the nickname ‘The Mouth’ due to the large quantities of food that I can consume, and thus the OS was quickly renamed by my colleagues at work to ‘MouthOS’. Weather fortunate or not, the name has stuck.
I currently have all the source under svn control on my home server and I fully intend to move the repository over to this public server (at which point a link will be provided).
